The Wall must fall!
Matthew Del Bosque
Emperor Qin must shut down all work and maintenance on the Great Wall. The wall is killing tons of citizens in the process of building it. To keep working on the wall will bring down China. We are building something that is taking more lives than it is saving! This wall was meant to keep us safe from the invading Mongolians to the north, but has it really done anything, other than killing our own people?

Building the Great Wall has barely stopped the enemy; they still can find ways to get in. They can simply climb over the wall, or devise an elaborate plan such as distracting multiple guard towers with a small army, while a much large army attacks from another or entirely different side. This would leave China defenseless. Emperor Qin has also committed the bold act of killing off 460 brilliant scholars, only because they had defied him and his decisions. This is childish a act. Our people are dying because of the creation of the wall. Emperor Qin favors his palace over the worker’s safety and health. He would rather spend a fortune on luxuries such as silk, gold, and foreign treasures, than actually build simple tools and supplements to help our people stay alive.

Some would oppose to these opinions, based on the fact that Emperor Qin’s defense and military has never been more powerful. Other also may fancy the perk of the wall actually slowing down large armies, allowing China’s Empire to mobilize its defenses. But already it is costing more lives and money to keep it from breaking apart. The money, labor, and time put into this wall have been wasted at this point!

The wall is nothing but a life taker, causing us to lose men by the thousands! Instead of building the pointless wall, we actually could have of trained our armies, or advanced our technology and weaponry. But the time that we could have used to do all of that is gone. The wall must come down! To prevent us from wasting even more time, money, and men.
